We introduce you to a product which has revolutionized the Switching operation in single motors and has been hailed as one of the most prominent inventions of the year by IIM Ahmedabad.

The Salient features of the eSwitch are
  • eSwitch is invariant of R.P.M. Voltage, current of motor and loading conditions. Fiel results have shown that presence of ZERO CROSS DETECTOR circuit in the eSwitch tends to increase the start capacitor life manifold.
  • eSwitch can be mounted away from the motor making it ideal for submersible pump application. It can be used in the submersible pump starter replacing the cont actor at a lower cost and also giving automatic functionality to the starter.
  • It eliminates all the shortcomings of mechanical switches like wear & tear, quick on/off limitation (by using eSwitch motor can be turned on and off as many times per minute as required without damaging the start capacitor) and can be used in rugged conditions. Since the switch is completely electronic so there is no wear and tear and theoretically the life of eSwitch is infinite.
  • The performance of eSwitch is not effective by vibrations, mechanical shocks etc. It is potted in epoxy resin compound and hence dust, dirt, moisture, chemical environment have no effect on the eSwitch.
  • It generates no sparks, hence can be successfully used in flame proof desired applications. The eSwitches are successfully used in hot Oil submersible motors as well as in Oil well.
  • Since eSwitch is designed in a way that it can also be used as a terminal box (the way they used it at Crompton Greaves) so it eliminates the need of a separate terminal box and also since the place taken by centrifugal/mechanical switch is made free so the motor can actually be shortened in length saving on valuable iron. The shaft doesn't necessarily need to be round and can be left flat (as they do it at Regal Beloit) saving on the cost involved to make the shaft round.
